While headquartered in Menlo Park, California, Second Foundation operates an offshore development center in Chandigarh, India, as well as running facilities in the Czech Republic and UK. The company provides business intelligence application development as well as offering security and web software development services.
The acquisition will add approximately 600 staff to Fidelity’s captive offshore operation, Fidelity Business Solutions India Pvt Ltd, which currently operates from a center in Bangalore. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Fidelity has also extended its outsourcing agreement with offshore IT services provider Covansys Corp. Under the terms of the deal, approximately 575 Covansys employees provide development and support services around Fidelity’s internal applications.
