The LG-KS20 was originally unveiled at the Internationale Funkausstellung trade show in Berlin in August and was made available to buy a week before the launch of the iPhone, which is expected to go on sale on November 9.
Powered by Windows Mobile 6, KS20 includes an internet browser, Wi-Fi, natural handwriting recognition, 128MB of internal memory, a micro SD card slot, and Bluetooth 2.0. It also has a 2-megapixel camera, FM radio and tri-band GSM support.
LG is also offering 3G telephony and high-speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) data service at 3.6Mbps, which is still not available on the iPhone. Users can download music, video clips, and Windows Live content and also use push e-mail.
The KS20 has a flat touch screen with a QVGA resolution (320 pixels by 240 pixels), and it allows users to input instructions with a stylus or pen.
Launched after HSDPA-enhanced LG ‘Viewty’ Phone (LG-KU990), KS20 is the first product in LG’s range of high technology category products.
