Through the agreement, TinselVision has obtained rights to distribute, via its online video-on-demand (VoD) service, blockbuster productions from Yash Raj Films’s (YRF) library, including hit movies such as Darr, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Fanaa.

This is the third major content alliance TinselVision has announced among India’s leading networks and producers, following its tie-ups with Zee Entertainment Enterprises’s Zee TV and News Corporation’s Star India.

TinselVision expects to soon announce additional content agreements as the US-based, Indian-centric venture prepares to launch what it claims will be the world’s premier online entertainment destination for Bollywood films and Indian television, music videos, sports and lifestyle programming.

Our aim is to reach our customers in every way possible, through all touch points – like movies, home entertainment, music etc. With the increasing demand of online digital downloads, offerings like online VoD and other new emerging mediums would be one of our key focus areas for expansion in the digital arena, said Sanjeev Kohli, director & CEO of YRF.
