Outlook-Sync is based on the Funambol open source software project uses SyncML wireless technology to share data between the web and Outlook. It can be installed as a plug-in to Microsoft Outlook and allows users to access their shared calendars, contacts, and task lists from Outlook or webmail without entering data into both locations.

Microsoft Outlook is the de facto standard when it comes to business-class email software, said Pat Matthews president at Webmail.us. However, many business users are on the go and need access to email, calendars, contacts and tasks from a browser.
