Multiple 3M technologies were used in the clinic’s five-month pilot project. According to the vendor, the specimen management process, communication of data, and verification of information have all been enhanced as a result of the pilot.
Expansion of the track and trace system within the endoscopy practice will take place in planned, controlled phases. 3M and Mayo Clinic expect this rollout to be completed in early 2007.
