Paris, France-based Atos will integrate Uni-Medecine into Santeos, a consortium formed in March 2005 by Atos, Uni-Medecine, and Hewlett-Packard France, to provide IT services to the French public healthcare sector which is undergoing a major overhaul.
The acquisition follows Atos Worldline’s combined 300m-euro ($388m) acquisition of Banksys and Bank Card Company which was completed in December 2006, boosting its presence in the European card-processing sector.
Parent company Atos Origin is also reportedly looking to make acquisitions in India, and is evaluating mid-size companies with about 2,000 employees.
