The Meru WLAN system was initially deployed in residence halls and the College is now expanding the wireless network throughout the main campus and three satellite facilities. The system will provide complete wireless access to more than 6,000 students and 1,000 faculty and staff.
Leveraging the latest technology from Meru Networks, Loyola provides students with the tools and skills for the modern academic world. A stable and high-performance Wi-Fi network was required to support large number of users running video streaming applications. Meru’s technology provides security, and quality of service to help prioritize video content delivery, along with voice and data applications on the wireless medium. Meru’s single-channel architecture assures application delivery in dense user environments without compromising security, performance or increasing the total number of access points required to support multiple applications on the network.
