Muir Medical Group IPA said that implementing NextGen’s electronic medical record (EMR) and electronic practice management (EPM) products will allow its member practices to interface with the hospitals, pharmacies and labs to provide their patients with the best possible service.
With the implementation of these EMR solutions, the technology infrastructure of physicians’ offices become mission critical, stated Ute Burness, CEO of Muir Medical Group IPA. It is not reasonable to expect a physician’s office to have the time, or expertise, to manage these technologies. ITelagen’s unique ability to manage all aspects of the network and applications has made our implementation of EMR and EPM rollout much smoother and faster than originally planned.
ITelagen’s services are powered by its ITAgent and ITVision desktop management platform and its client-based agent architecture, delivering service to customers at a fraction of the time and cost it takes traditional IT consultants. The company’s desktop management platform operates in a fully redundant SAS-70 Type II compliant data center, maintaining system and network security at all times.
Muir Medical Group IPA’s plan is to roll out the EMR, with ITelagen’s help, to 200 providers by 2010.
