The October launch of Apple’s new operating system will follow a series of new EA game releases from July onwards, including Command and Conquer 3, Battlefield 2142, Need For Speed Carbon, and the latest Harry Potter title.
ID Software, maker of the Doom game, is currently developing titles for the Mac. ID co-founder and technical director John Carmack commented, Since many developers at ID have made the switch to the Mac for their personal use, we decided it was time to bring our core game technology to OS X.
