This decision comes under an established multi-year strategic agreement between UGS and Nissan. As part of the original agreement, Nissan selected NX as its core design platform.
NX will be used by Nissan affiliates to digitally design vehicles and parts on a global basis, and Teamcenter, UGS’ collaborative product development management (cPDM) software, will be used to digitally manage product data and collaborate with Nissan.
UGS is an important partner and the innovation they provide continues to evolve as our relationship expands said Keigo Fukushi, general manager of the process information management department at Nissan’s R&D engineering management division. Nissan expects to see enhanced system efficiency by implementing common digital design and product data management platforms. We hope to see huge improvement in digitalization of affiliates.
