BT has singed a contract with the Notaries Certification Agency (ANCERT) in Spain to connect the 2600 notary offices of the Notaries Private Network (RENO).
Using BT intelligent virtual private network (IVPN), the notary offices are connected with other organisations associated with notary activities such as the Notary Council, the Spanish Tax Agency and city and provincial councils.
In addition, BT will also manage ANCERT’s Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for the Recognised Notarised Digital Signature, which ensures data security, authenticity at point of origin and non-repudiation of the notarised documents.
The company said that this tool, using additional encryption, guarantees the security of all the notaries’ electronic services and ANCERT will also benefit from BT’s latest innovations and improvements in security and network performance.
BT will also provide failover features for Internet connectivity and a dedicated support team located at ANCERT’s headquarters in Sant Cugat del Valles, Barcelona.
