Sybase, a provider of enterprise mobility software, has introduced latest version of Unwired Platform, which will allow enterprise developers to build applications that connect business data from more sources, including SAP applications, to mobile workers on any device.

The company said that the new version of unwired platform provides an integrated infrastructure, which decreases the complexity of developing and deploying mobile applications for all major device types, including iPhone and iPad, RIM BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Windows, and Symbian, with Android support to follow.

According to Sybase, the new unwired platform provides benefits to the mobile enterprise, including simplified mobility, empowered IT, integrated processes, lower total cost of ownership, and fast reaction to changing business needs.

Sybase Markets, Solutions and Products senior vice president Gary Kovacs said that Sybase Unwired Platform enables leading enterprises to transform the way they operate by providing employees with anywhere, anytime access to business critical applications.

"Unlike tactical or point mobile application offerings, the latest platform release is a comprehensive end-to-end infrastructure that enables enterprises to empower their employees and connect to their customers in new and innovative ways leveraging mobile," Kovacs said.
