VMware, a provider of virtualisation offerings, has introduced new version of SpringSource Hyperic to manage and monitorcustom applications.
Hyperic, an element of SpringSource’s software suite, supports applications running on both physical and virtual infrastructure, providing real-time performance data on more than 75 technologies used to develop modern web applications.
The company said that new version of Hyperic in integration with vCenter Server maintains a continually updated inventory of vSphere ESXi and ESX hosts, that enables IT administrators to correct and prevent application performance problems which occur across physical, virtual and private cloud infrastructures.
The integration also increases the effectiveness of IT operations teams including: diagnosis of virtualised application performance problems; automatic maintenance of application infrastructure inventory; virtualisation-aware alerting; automated problem resolution; and virtualised environment event & log monitoring.
Javier Soltero, CTO of management products for the SpringSource division of VMware."Hyperic 4.4 delivers a completely new level of integration with VMware vCenter Server designed to streamline the task of managing virtualised applications. Hyperic now provides system administrators complete, automatic visibility of virtual infrastructure resources as well as a completely new user interface built to enable analysis and correlation of every metric and event from VMware vSphere hosts up to the application."
