Veracode has entered into partnership with McAfee to join the latter’s Security Innovation Alliance, which is a technology partnering program created to accelerate the development of interoperable security products and to simplify the integration of these products within complex customer environments.

Through this initiative, Veracode integrates the benefits of Veracode SecurityReview with the McAfee ePO security management platform, which allows customers to identify applications at risk, queue them for verification, and manage application risk and compliance to standards, regulatory requirements or policies within the Veracode cloud-based service.

In addition, it also allows joint customers to display results in the McAfee ePO console to assist with corporate policy management practices.

Ed Barry, senior director of the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance, said: "We are delighted to add Veracode as an Associate Partner in the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance. Upon completion of the integration, mutual customers will be able to better manage application risk, protect critical applications, and comply with internal security policies and external compliance mandates."

Sam King, vice president of product marketing, Veracode, said: "Our joint integration will further illustrate the flexibility and accuracy of Veracode’s cloud-based approach and its ability to minimise application portfolio risk.

"We look forward to working with joint customers through the integration with McAfee ePO security management platform to improve the performance and visibility of companies’ policy management initiatives."
