Dell has released new Inspiron R laptops, which feature Intel Core i3 and i5 mobile processor options with Microsoft Windows 7 in 14-inch models to 15- and 17-inch versions.

The company claims that the new products are designed to enable users access personal files and share photos and videos wirelessly, as well to enjoy the mobile personal entertainment hub.

The new laptops feature built-in wireless connectivity, built-in media card readers, up to 640GB hard disk drives, up to 8GB DDR3 memory and timesavers like the Dock that organises music, videos and photos and puts most commonly-used apps right up top.

According to Dell, the new laptop series also includes built-in webcam, touchpad with integrated scrolling and gestures, smudge-resistant palm rests, a full-size keyboard, Intel Core i3 and Core i5 processors, and optional ATi graphics. They also feature DataSafeOnline option that backups data and DataSafeLocal, which creates backup copies of the factory image.

In addition, the Inspiron R laptops also come with SRS Premium Sound and optional Intel Wireless Display feature that facilitates to project the laptop display on a nearby HDTV without the need for cables, Dell said.

The new Inspiron R laptops prices start from $449 and are available in a choice of colours including mars black, peacock blue, tomato red and lotus pink for select models.
