Indian Tata Communications has posted revenues of INR9.9 billion for the third quarter fiscal 2009 ended December 31, 2008, an increase of 17% compared with revenues of fiscal 2008.

Profit after taxes in the third quarter of fiscal 2009 was INR810m, an increase of 203% compared with Profit after taxes of INR270m for the same period in 2007.

Operating profits or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) for the third quarter ended December 31, 2008 was at INR2.31 billion, up 43% from INR1.62 billion in the corresponding quarter of fiscal 2008.

For the year-to-date nine months ended December 31, 2008, Tata Communications standalone revenues were at INR28.37 billion, an increase of 17% compared to standalone revenues of INR24.33 billion for the same period in fiscal 2008.

EBITDA during the first nine months of fiscal 2009 was at INR6.44 billion, up 36% from INR4.73 billion in the corresponding nine month period in fiscal 2008.
