Ireland-based Aurion Learning, a professional development and educational design company, will upgrade the Irish Health Service Executive’s online learning center by integrating NetDimensions’s learning management system, an enterprise knowledge platform.

Aurion Learning manages the Irish Health Service Executive’s (HSE) e-learning strategy development. Aurion Learning will upgrade the online learning center developed for the HSE to include a range of new e-learning and knowledge sharing tools including a new suite of e-learning authoring tools, Wikis and blogs, complemented with the EKP learning management system (LMS).

All HSE e-learning programs are SCORM compliant and will be integrated with enterprise knowledge platform (EKP), which will support learner tracking and reporting, as well as a range of new features that will allow better management of learners across the HSE, including certification tracking and distribution.

The HSE has almost 100,000 employees, and the usage of the learning center is expected to grow beyond the existing 13,000 registered users currently in the system.

Ross Maguire, sales director of Aurion Learning, said: As a specialist in e-learning strategy development combined with our comprehensive knowledge of the LMS marketplace, we chose EKP because it is one of the most robust, intuitive, feature rich and easily deployed learning environments in the world.
