CGI-L3 Ltd, Crowthorne, Berkshire, has announced PAC/CS, a graphical object-oriented software engineering tool for client-server environments. PAC/CS comprises an object-oriented information model, which enables the user to prototype and generate code automatically. It provides database access, either through an SQL requester or via a server component that is generated by PACBench, a sister CGI module. Support for Hewlett-Packard Co’s SoftBench software engineering environment is also provided. PAC/CS runs under Microsoft Corp Windows, IBM Corp OS/2 and Motif as clients. Server versions for mainframes, Unix networks and micro servers will be available next year.
