Seagate Technology Corp, Scotts Valley, and Santa Clara-based Flash memory storage subsystems prioneer Sundisk Corp have now consummated the letter of intent they signed in November (CI No 2,052) and Seagate has, as planned paid an undisclosed sum for a 25% stake in Sundisk. Under the agreement, Seagate will market and distribute worldwide the solid-state, non-volatile storage products using both the Seagate and Sundisk brand names. Sundisk will continue to market and distribute its own products under its own name. Seagate will start shipping next month; the two will also work together on development of future storage products.
