Marlow, Bucks-based Software One, which has caught the attention of most of the major industry players with its generic CASE tool interface product Exchange has changed its plans for expansion: the company was all ready to set up a subsidiary in the US but the terms that US venture capitalists were after did not suit the company, so it is now going to distribute its products through agents in the US and Europe; this has meant that instead of expecting to grow to an 80 employee company next year, it is aiming to be a 50 employee company; the upshot of all this is that Michael Hunt who joined the company as chairman to oversee the direct sales move into the US has stood down as chairman and company co-founder Annette Edwards has resumed her position as managing director – Hunt has, however, retained his investment in the company.
