Microinform and Intermicro Business Systems have announced a bundling agreement to preload the Lexicon text processor on all Dell Computer Corp computers sold by Intermicro, the sole distributor of Dell in Russia. Microinform also has a bundling agreement with IBM Corp. In 1992, Microinform sold 5,000 copies of Lexicon. So far this year it has sold over 6,000 copies. The supply of Lexicon will not affect the cost of the computers. Microinform’s director, Boris Fridman, has offered the company’s software to the assembly enterprises Aquarius Systems Integral and Land, but in both cases no agreements could be reached. Lexicon is the most widely used (although probably not the most widely paid-for) text processor in Russia.
