Commodore International Ltd chairman Irving Gould is still looking for a president for the company’s US operations that will perform to his satisfaction, and the latest incumbent, Harold Copperman, who was hired from Apple Computer Inc to take the job in April 1989, has been replaced by James Dunne, who had been running Commodore’s Canadian operations. Copperman stays on as a vice-president of the parent to formulate multimedia strategies. It is also cutting its 600-strong US workforce by 10% to 15%.
