The Israeli education ministry is negotiating a $140m deal with Compagnie des Machines Bull SA under which it would buy 70,000 computers for use in schools, and Bull would throw in another 15,000 as a sweetener, Reuter reports from Jerusalem; Bull would buy some $100m of electronic parts for computers made in Israel, in an off-set agreement; Bull chairman Bernard Pache accompanied President Mitterand on a 48-hour visit to Israel last week.
