IBM has cut US prices of some models and features for the RS/6000 and PowerGraphics graphics terminal option, effective from June 23, 1992. The Power Gt4x 8-bit Feature is down to $7,000 from $11,700, the Gt4x 24-bit feature is reduced to $11,500 from $17,000, the Gt4 8-bit to 24-bit upgrade is $4,500, down from $5,300 and the Power Gt4 Performance Upgrade is reduced to $3,000 from $5,700. The Power Gt4 8-bit Feature is now $4,000, formerly $6,000, the Power Gt4 24-Bit Feature is down to $8,500 from $11,300. PowerGraphics is $11,700 from $15,000 or $17,000 from $20,000 and the GTO Accelerator is $1,000 from $1,300.
