MSI has expanded its X-Slim notebook family with the addition of the X410 notebook, powered with AMD Athlon Neo Processor that supports 1080i resolution. The company said that the new notebook is 1 inch thick, has a 14 inch display and weighs 1.5 kg with battery.

According to MSI, the X410 comes with AMD’s PowerNow! technology, and is able to run different applications based on their specific power requirements by automatically adjusting CPU speed and voltage.

The company claims that the new notebook is more eco-friendly with reduced battery consumption, lower voltage requirements, and it lasts longer with over twice the battery life of traditional 14 notebooks.

The notebook has five different power management modes: gaming, cinema, presentation, document, and turbo battery. These modes adjust power settings for specific tasks to extend battery power even longer, the company said.

MSI added that the new notebook features 1366 x 768 pixel LCD monitor and supports a maximum of 4GB of DDR2 memory. The screen is LED backlit and the notebook uses an ATI Radeon x1250 graphics card. The X410 also features a built-in 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi WLAN and bluetooth wireless connectivity functions, along with a 1.3MP webcam.
