The marketing rights to EE Designer, a personal computer-based computer aided design system for electronic engineering, have been sold for an undisclosed sum to the founding director of Betronex Ltd, Jonathon Hewer. The Ware, Hertfordshire operation now has marketing rights in Ireland, France, and Benelux, and the software will continue to be produced under licence in the UK. Product development is to stay in Sweden, and Leif Norlen, president of Betronex International, is to retain his position as a director of Betronex Ltd. The EE Designer range is Betronex’ core product, but Hewer says that the UK company is now in a position to enlarge its portfolio to include add-in boards and other hardware. Betronex Ltd has appointed Fountaine Electronique as French distributor, and hopes to find distributors for both Benelux and Ireland.
