Baden, Switzerland-based IBM mainframe leasing company COS Computer Systems AG has acquired West German leasing company HM Leasing GmbH, Heidelberg for an undisclosed sum. HM Leasing had 1988 turnover of around $18m. COS, with 600 employees and annual turnover of some $300m, leases IBM, plug-compatible and DEC machines, and has various smaller product subsidiaries. COS says that it is also now a major player in the Swiss Unix systems market.
