Erskine Office Systems Ltd, a subsidiary of Sevenoaks, Kent-based Erskine House Group Plc, has acquired the assets of Roy Business Systems from its receiver Price Waterhouse for an undisclosed sum. Roy Systems is a value-added printer supplier that specialises in supplying third-party printers into the Wang Laboratories, IBM and DEC environments as well as offering support and maintenance. Its main customer base is in the legal and insurance sectors where it has installed printers from Dataproducts Corp. Erskine Office, which specialises in the distribution of laser printers, personal computers and networking products, has acquired the maintenance base, stock, intellectual property rights, and trading name of Roy Business Systems. The firm’s founders, Dr Diane Roy and Malcolm McLeod, will continue to head Roy Systems for Erskine and its existing key management and staff will be retained.
