There are some pretty nasty people in Japan, and a Japanese high school student says he and some 40 other computer enthusiasts were paid by a man they met through a computer network to develop viruses specifically designed to infect X-68000 computers made by Sharp Corp: the Jiji Japanese wire service reports that the 17-year-old student, who lives in Marugame, Kagawa prefecture, told an Osaka-based federation of computer clubs that the man who paid them identified himself as an employee of a major electronics firm in Tokyo; the virus developers received about $175; two types of viruses, primed for July, have been found.
