Times are getting tough in the MS-DOS personal computer market, particularly if your name is not IBM or Compaq, and Wyse Technology Inc, San Jose yesterday announced substantial cuts for the US and Europe on its WYSEpc 286 and 386 machines. The 25MHz WYSEsystem 386 single-floppy Model 3225-01 falls 11.6% to $7,600; the 150Mb hard disk Model 3225-150T falls 8.9% to $10,200; the 300Mb version also falls $1,000 to $11,700. A single floppy 16MHz WYSEpc 286 Model 2116-01 is cut by 11.1% to $2,400; the 2Mb 2116-2MB is off 9.4% at $2,900; the 40Mb Model 2116-40 falls 8.8% to $3,100.
