Kingston-upon-Thames based CMA-Ettworth Ltd is convinced that computerised telex is set for a revival while simultaneously claiming that rumours about the death of telex have been greatly exaggerated: the reason for the IBM mid-range telex company’s optimism is the crashing of the Berlin Wall; it reckons that the impoverished Eastern Bloc countries will choose traditional telex as a cheap communications medium while Westerners can take advantage of the computerised version.
