Not to be sneezed at: the German Bundesgesundheitsamt has awarded Sparta, New Jersey-based Laser Recording Systems, Inc a contract for a computer-based system for the submission of new drug applications on optical disk: in the first phase, pharmaceutical sponsor companies will have the option of submitting their drug registration papers on optical disk, and it will subsequently become mandatory to use optical disks; Laser Recording has formed a joint venture with Lorenz Archiv Systeme GmbH to create Lorenz-LRS GmbH to complete the contract; no financial details.
