Software and computer services supplier TSR Inc, Hauppauge, New York, has settled the lawsuit brought against it by Honeywell Bull Ltd in the UK and against TSR and American Express Bank Ltd in the US arising from the marketing by TSR of the VM/TPS series of programs – the suit against American Express Bank Ltd by Honeywell Bull is continuing and American Express may assert contractual indemnity claims against TSR: under the settlement, TSR has agreed to pay an undisclosed sum and to discontinue marketing VM/TPS or other programs that would enable applications written in languages in which Honeywell Bull has a copyrightable or patentable interest to operate on computer hardware made or sold by any vendor; TSR can continue to service VM/TPS for its customers and provide the product at new sites of existing customers to the extent that it was contracted to do so by November 10.
