Bankrupt computer leaser Continental Information Systems Corp, Syracuse, New York, can see no way out of its troubles without selling the business, and the company says that it is actively seeking parties interested in buying all or part of its assets as promptly as possible. First Boston Corp, which the company, trading under Chapter XI of the US Federal bankruptcy code, has retained as its financial advisor, is soliciting proposals from interested parties. Continental and 11 of its US subsidiaries filed voluntary petitions for reorganisation under Chapter XI on Friday 13 January, and are presently operating as debtors in possession. Efforts to shop the company in France have so far proved unsuccessful.
