Concept SA, the large French software and services house will fall under control of the state-owned Credit Lyonnais bank following the reorganisation of the major shareholdings in the company to create a simpler capital structure (CI No 1,556) and the other major holder in the 50.1% controlling entity, Altus Finance SA is also state-owned: Thomson-CSF SA owns 49% of Altus. And Concept itself is looking reorganise its operations in Spain, where it recently acquired Calculo y Tratamiento de la Informacion SA for $20.8m, and has made a further two acquisitions, APL SA and RD Informatica SA, paying a combined sum of $10.4m. RD Informatica will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Concept Espana SA, specialising in developing applications for the financial sector. Concept would reportedly like a partner to take up to 40% of Calculo y Tratamiento which has forecast $26m turnover for 1990, but there are no concrete negotiations at present.
