NetSuite has announced a strategic initiative with Amazon Web Services (AWS), to further connect and integrate their respective cloud platforms. The initiative features SuiteStorage, a connector built using NetSuite’s SuiteCloud development platform to enable easy integration of NetSuite with Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3).
The company said that developers, independent software vendors (ISVs) and customers will be able to build new software applications that leverage NetSuite’s integrated cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite and the storage and compute capabilities of Amazon Web Services.
According to NetSuite, the SuiteStorage, built using SuiteCloud development platform by SuiteCloud partner Celigo, enables the integration of Amazon S3 storage with the NetSuite cloud computing platform. SuiteStorage gives NetSuite customers an integrated user interface for storing and retrieving files from Amazon S3, which can boost performance of data-intensive companies.
Terry Wise, director of business development for Amazon Web Services, said: We are pleased to see NetSuite extend their model for deploying powerful and agile applications to companies of all sizes around the world. With this offering, system integrators, developers, and customers can leverage both NetSuite’s ERP offering and Amazon S3’s secure, scalable and reliable storage offering.
