Personal computer software distributor Nippon Soft Bank has signed an exclusive agreement with Japanese firm Dynaware to distribute its software for Macintosh, the MacWord word processor and the Japanese language conversion tool MacVJE Version 2.0: it will also import software packages from its US affiliates Ingram Micro D and Computerware Inc; the Mac world is still underdeveloped in Japan, with cumulative installations of only around 50,000 to 60,000 machines, due to its high price and poor Japanese language conversion software, but Apple Computer Japan is now actively expanding the number of applications available and the number of sales channels.
