Although IBM hopes to have sold its Rolm business to Siemens AG well before any of the new products ship – and has left it to Siemens to put prices on the things – the company yesterday announced major extensions to the low end of its 9750 PABXs in the US, including a new hardware and software release, 9005 for the 40, 50 and 70 models, and a new entry-level 9751 Model 10, which brings the entry point down to 50 extensions. The Model 10 is a voice-data controller with all the features of the larger models for first quarter 1990 ships.
