Looks as if there could soon be a glut of Masters of Business Administration in the US – the sooner the better say those that believe that to learn it, there is no substitute for doing it and suffering computer companies are leading the way in cutting back their hiring: according to the Wall Street Journal, while demand for places is feverish, many US business schools are finding that recruiting of their output is slowing – at Carnegie Mellon’s business school, Apple Computer Inc, Data General Corp and DEC all cancelled their scheduled interviews, and IBM and Hewlett-Packard Co halved their job offers.
