With its subsidiaries around Europe mandated to increase business for the company by whatever means seem appropriate to local conditions, Nixdorf Computer SA in France has come up with a revolutionary plan to go the franchise route in the regions. The company envisages exclusive franchises that would not only offer Nixdorf’s entire product line, but will sell Nixdorf equipment exclusively, and commit to maintaining the company’s marketing strategy and exploiting the brand name. Nixdorf France’s national network will provide maintenance to customers signed up by the franchisees, and the company looks to the switch in approach to improve its penetration in major regional markets.
