NetSuite, a provider of on-demand, integrated business management software suites, has announced the availability of Google Checkout for online merchants currently running their operations on its Ecommerce platform.
The new feature provides an interface between the NetSuite shopping cart and the Google Checkout online payment service. The company said that the integration with Google Checkout delivers a payment platform for Ecommerce businesses and helps reduce shopping cart abandonment.
The new NetSuite reportedly provides visibility into key business operations in one system – from the online store to inventory, fulfillment, shipping, marketing promotions and customer buying patterns for up-sell and cross-sell analysis. The new suite already includes Google AdWords, and now Google Checkout integration is expected to give Ecommerce businesses a platform to drive both sales and marketing efforts.
Google Checkout allows buyers to pay with credit, debit or gift cards branded by the card issuers – Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Dan Rubinstein, director of product management at Google, said: We’re pleased to be working with NetSuite to provide merchants, and ultimately buyers, with more choice in their payment options. Google Checkout helps merchants increase their sales by driving more traffic, increasing conversions, and enabling buyers to shop quickly and easily with one login at stores across the web.
NetSuite Google Checkout Integration is available now for US customers and is expected to be available for UK customers by the end of June 2009.
