The US Semiconductor Industry Association’s book to bill ratio dipped below the 1.0 mark in May, settling at 0.99, down from 1.05 in April and a revised 1.07 in March. Average monthly orders for the three months to May were down 5.3% on the April figure at $1,270, although 2.3% up on the year-ago figure, while three-month average orders to May, at $1,290m, were unchanged from the figure in April.
