enTourage Systems, creator of the eDGe dualbook, has partnered with DataViz, a provider of mobile office compatibility offerings, to provide eDGe users with the ability to view, create and edit Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint files and view Adobe PDF files through the Documents To Go software.

According to EnTourage, the eDGe is a dual-screen e-reader, tablet netbook, notepad and audio/video recorder and player in one, offering an e-paper as well as an LCD screen for multitasking. It runs on Google Android operating system and combines an E-Ink screen to read e-books, take notes and draw diagrams, and an LCD screen to surf the internet, compose and send email and watch videos.

EnTourage said that the integration of the Documents To Go software into the eDGe will increase productivity on-the-go, making all work, school or personal files free to review and edit from a single device. It allows executives to view or revise presentations, contracts or plans from the same device they would read e-books, take down notes, record meeting minutes, watch videos and send email.

Asghar Mostafa, president and CEO of enTourage Systems, said: “The DataViz Documents To Go software adds a significant value for professionals, students or other enTourage eDGe users that are on-the-move and need to view important Office documents. Like DataViz, enTourage Systems understands the value of time and consumers’ busy lifestyles; our system coupled with this software offers a robust solution to meet their needs.”
