Cellnet Communications Ltd is investing UKP200,000 to sponsor the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s European tour in 1992: Cellnet says it is making this benevolent gesture in the interests of promoting European communications and harmony in anticipation of the Single European Market in 1992 – not to mention the promotion Cellnet will be giving to its end of the pan-European digital cellular system, which will be in service from the middle of next year in the major capital cities in Europe; former Prime Minister Edward Heath, known in some quarters as the Incredible Sulk, was at yesterday’s announcement to lend his support to the Royal Philharmonic’s European tour and to say how wonderful Cellnet was in coming forward with the sponsorship cash.
