StoredIQ, a provider of intelligent information management and eDiscovery offerings, has partnered with NetApp to offer customers information management and storage offerings for enterprise environments.
Under terms of the agreement, StoredIQ has joined the NetApp Alliance Partner Program and will integrate NetApp storage into its intelligent information management platform, a software-based appliance designed to manage the functional intersection of eDiscovery, information governance, records management, and storage management.
The StoredIQ platform can now leverage NetApp Snapshot technology to back up indices and recover data in the case of disk failure, the company claims.
The company claims that the integration with the same FAS2000 product family will enable its appliance to offer a variety of capacities to meet varied customer demands and facilitate it to scale from 5TB to 500TB of data under management within a single cluster, by adding additional NetApp NAS capacity.
StoredIQ said that the joint offering benefits customers by eliminating the need to identify, purchase, set up, or maintain a secondary data store to house the indices; eliminating the costs, risks, and burden of an additional storage platform; and by reducing both the deployment time and total cost of ownership.
