Germantown, Maryland-based V-One Corp is teaming up with Japanese software distributor and systems integrator ASCII Network Technology Inc in an exclusive distribution agreement that will see ASCII become the only Japanese distributor of V-One’s SmartGate NT client-server security product. The companies believe SmartGate NT will account for $10m in sales over the next two years. ASCII, whose parent companies are ASCII Corp and Microsoft Corp, will promote SmartGate NT, an application level security product designed to run on NT enterprise networks, as a complete package bundled with other technologies such as Windows NT, the Centri Firewall, MetaInfo Inc’s DNS and SendMail server products, and ASCII’s digital stamp offerings.
