British Telecommunications Plc is on the verge of announcing a new UK-to-Moscow digital service. The UK company has organised an NX 64Kbps service via Intelsat to Bear Lake, 175 miles from the Russian capital. The final leg will be via microwave. BT International says the service will be primarily to support its multinational customers; it is co-operating with Comstar on the delivery of service. BTI is funding the deal which involves the provision of multiplexers to the Russian Space Ministry.
