Wipro Infotech, a provider of IT and business transformation services, said that it has won three state mission mode projects for data centres from the governments of Maharashtra, West Bengal and Gujarat, respectively.

According to Wipro, the Maharashtra project is for building the State Data Centre spread across approximately 3000sqft including commissioning and managing the data centre for a period of five years. The West Bengal Project is for design, build and management of the West Bengal data centre for a period of five years to provide services to citizens.

The company said that the Gujarat project is for upgrade and commissioning of the Gujarat State data centre that will act as the disaster recovery site for the localised apps running at four mini data centres for providing online services to urban and rural citizens.

Under the agreement, Wipro is expected to deliver effective and efficient monitoring and management services to ensure high reliability, availability and security of the information systems residing in these data centres, the company said.
