San Jose-based display and graphics board manufacturer Radius Inc has moved into software with launch of imaging Radius PrecisionColor Software for the Macintosh, which includes Dynamic Desktop resolution enhancement, Dynamic Colour calibration and ImpressIt compression: PrecisionColor Software is designed to optimise the built-in video circuitry of the Macintosh Quadra, providing 24-bit colour and complete control over resolution and bit-depth without having to buy a graphics interface board; it is designed for use with Radius’s PrecisionColor Display/20; there is also a 20S model that bundles the display with the software; users with a PrecisionColor Display/20 can have the software for $100 before September 30, after which it is $300; the display with the software bundled is $3,300, next month.
