Furiously filling up those gaps in its product set, Texas Instruments Inc has released the first parts of Information Engineering Facility v.5.0 which support the development of graphical user interface applications for Presentation Manager. Out this month, the tool means that IEF-generated graphical applications will enable users to take advantage of Dynamic Data Exchange for communicating with other desktop applications. With version 5.0 Texas Instruments can deliver both traditional screen-based and graphical applications. During the first half of 1992 the IEF product will support generation for other popular user interfaces, including Microsoft Windows in an MS-DOS environment and Motif in a Unix environment, all from a single IEF specification.
